Almost 3 million have fallen through the cracks of government support,
unable to access the grants, loans and furlough payments given to others.
Almost a million event professionals have been unable to work at all since March.
SILENT NIGHTS IS A CALL TO ACTION
BY THEM, FOR THEM,
AND FOR THEIR FAMILIES.
WHO WE ARE
An inclusive alliance for the excluded
Since March 2020, an estimated 3 million UK taxpayers have been left without adequate financial support from the UK Government through no fault of their own, due to the eligibility criteria for the Covid-19 support schemes put in place by HM Treasury.
By providing a support mechanism for those affected by the financial impact of covid, facilitating advice and support where possible, #ExcludedUK signpost individuals and businesses to resources on mental health, counselling and well-being, business guidance and networking, debt advice, upskilling and training.
Event professionals, standing as ONE
The live events sector employs c. 1,000,000 highly skilled people in the UK, ranging from event production and management, lighting, video, logistics, planning, transportation and more, most of whom have had no work since March.
#WeMakeEvents is an international movement to highlight that the live events sector urgently needs support from local governments to survive the Covid-19 crisis. Our focus is to get Government initiatives to help the industry back to work while providing support until it can fully return to work: RESTART LIVE.
